Catholic church making it easier for Anglicans to convert

Talk about an ambulance chaser approach! Due to the dissatisfaction of some Anglicans in the issues of female priests and same sex marriage blessing the Pope has decided to invite Anglicans to convert to Catholicism. Promising them that they won't lose their identity as Anglicans..er..how he claims to do this I still don't understand. So is the catholic church so desperate for parishioners that they would ask back those who centuries ago invented and converted to a new religion when they decuided that the Pope was far to powerful politically?
