Canada shamed on Afghan prisoner torture

What surprises me is that people are surprised at all. We seemed to have this squeaky clean impression of ourselves. There has got to be some crap somewhere, right? It is shameful and more than embarrassing but if we stop lying to ourselves and look for the flaws then maybe we can force our "powers that be" to behave in the manner in which we pay them to behave..?
