If it ain't broke why fix it?
Harper (Our...*cough*...*cough*..'beloved' PM) want to change our political system now to match the American one. He proposes fixed elections every 4 years. Says that's fair. Well, except that as it stands if a budget gets turned down an election can be called and a minority government be out voted. Then what? Anarchy for X amount of years until the next fixed date comes up? What the hell? What's he up to? He wants to pick and chose which questions can be asked and answered by the press...He wants to keep the public knowing what he's up to in other words. He doesn't want the coffins coming back from war to be filmed. He had a useless vote on whether or not to keep the troops over there longer...useless because he intended to do it anyway. He has not even spoken about the native trouble at all. In other words, he's not interested in domestic issues ( can someone say Georgie and katrina?)...MY GOODNESS... Did I have another one of my black outs?
