The trouble with 'owning' a people. The trouble with having an entire population under your control is that your vigilance over that control can never slip.
Kim Jong-il and his son, Kim Jong-Un must posture. Must prove their might to their people over and over in order to keep them convinced. To keep them afraid enough to believe in their god-like ruling over them. They are not unintelligent. They know full well they are not strong enough to fight the world and win. They just need to keep their bubble of control in tact. This does not mean that the world can ignore them. They have the ability to kill millions. And they will.
