Can someone explain to me


why it is that such a large attack is necessary on insurgents that, according to Mr.Cheney, as of last fall were on their "last legs"? I thought the job was almost done. I thought there were whispers of the troops coming home. I thought democracy had won and the people were "free".

Yes, the news saddened me too but at the press conference...one woman (can't believe I can't remember her name now) was whoopin butt with her questioning of illegal air strikes...she was very good. And I guess it's true that congress has no say in this? The military only does? That is what I was hearing...can that be true? Who knows what is true anymore.

I can tell you that what is NOT true is anything coming out of Bush and Cheney's ( and a few sordid "yes" men) Mouths!
