Bill vrs. Rosie vrs. Imus vrs. oprah versus fuck it all!

Here's what's important!
Technically these boys and men died for people in another country because they believed what was done was wrong

where as These boys and men are dying or have died for their own country and there isn't a list of names or an accurate count available
Can I hear someone say WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE!!?
The American people and those influenced by their media are being fed garbage and not even being allowed to mourn their heroes properly!
I will quote the words of a father of a slain Canadian soldier. "He died for his country and his country should mourn with us!"
It should not only be a right but should be a privilege and an obligation!
It is literally the very least your Government can do for them.

Thank you for putting it all in perspective. You are absolutely right...but I gave up on the US government Thanksgiving of 2005 when the Dems had the opportunity to stop this war and bring our boys home. I have not stopped talking abot it in my own little world of people and I cry and pray silently every night for all the soldiers and innocents of this unjust war. But I want you to know that I am grateful as an American citizen and as a lover of all good people Canadians, Iraqi's, etc. that I applaud you for keeping up your tenacity, heart etc, for a cause that is harder then any other cause to rectify or to make any sense of. Thanks my friend Rue
With love

You're welcome. The Dems had the power in 2005? Is it just that I am getting old and not remembering something or did I misunderstand something?

Around Thanksgiving of 2005, there was an opportunity for the House to vote on the troops coming home.

Nancy Pelosi felt it was a trap by Bush to make the Dems look politically wrong, so most of the house voted to keep the soldiers in. Thats when John Murtha spoke out against the war too.

It is in my belief that if the focus was on saving lives and not politics, the Democrats could have banned together and voted against the continuance of the war.

This in my belief, would have woken the country up more and much faster then the course it has taken, which is over a year later...and still nothing is done...the war just extended again beyond most logical people's belief's.

You are right that the democrats did not have the, "majority" power at that time, but thier votes against Bush and this war would have made
the outcome today, much more expeditiously, imo. The outcome meaning, "we the people" woke up...not that anthing changed in the govt. But our eyes are open.

The democrats let me down back then with putting political games before lives saved. That is when I realized the entire administration, (with the exception of less then a hand full)were corrupt, frightened or just plain cowards!

I will never give up on the USA, but our government is deplorable. Now, I hang on to faith and hope and speak out in my little corner of the world. Waiting for the day that this nightmare can be over for my children...all children.

With Bush at the helm, there is no, "We The People" anymore except for our own backyards.

Wish is precisely what I believe he tried to accomplish.
